Orange bavarois

This was 1 of the first dessert I learnt when I was still in vocational high school. I was just 16 that time! Oh my!
And now I feel like eating it again. So I made it again for our special dinner dessert.

Ingredients:
240 g milk
60 g egg yolk
15 g gelatine sheets
50 g sugar
240 g cream
Juice from 2 oranges


Directions:
1. Cream the egg with sugar
2. Boil the milk and whisk into the egg in the sugar cream
3. Replace on low heat and stir till it thickens (do not boiled)
4. Remove from the heat and stir in the gelatin which has been prev. soaked in cold water
5. Strain and cool the mixture until it reaches the consistency of half whipped cream
6. Half whipped the cream and fold it into the custard until mixed
7. Add the juice from 2 oranges
8. Fill the mould, which maybe slightly greased and then chill
9. Remove from mould by shaking and serve

note: if you want to put it in orange like I did to mine, simply empty the orange carefully, until everything clean so you can put the mix inside it.

Siomay

Kebetulan lagi rajin nih, jadi bikin siomay. Hehehe....

Bahan:
Kulit pangsit
500 gr ikan tenggiri
200 gr udang
3 siung bwg putih
irisan bwg prei
irisan daun seledri
garam
merica

Pelengkap:
Kentang
Telur
Tahu
Sambal kacang (kebetulan pake yang jadi, lain kli di post deh resepnya) hehehe...

Cara membuat:
Masukkan ikan tenggiri, udang dan bwg putih dalam blender. Haluskan. Tambahkan garam, merica, bwg prei dan daun seledri. Campur, aduk rata.
Isikan ke dalam kulit pangsit (sesuai selera). Bisa juga diisikan kedalam tahu (tapi tahu harus dikukus terlebih dahulu).
Kukus pangsit dan tahu yang sudah diisi (bisa juga di goreng).
Sajikan dengan kentang dan telur rebus dan sambal kacang.


Ingredients:
Wonton pastry
500 gr spanish / king mackerel
200 gr prawn
3 cloves garlic
20 gr sliced green onion
10 gr sliced pasrley
salt
pepper

Condiments:
Boiled potato
Hard boiled egg
Steamed tofu
Peanut / satay sauce

How to:
-Put prawn, mackerel, garlic salt and pepper in a food processor and blitz until mixed and smooth.
-Move the mixed into a bowl.
-Add parsley and green onion, and mixed all together.
-Take 1 wonton pastry, put a small amount of the fish mixture in the middle and take all the edges to the middle (it doesn't have to be closed its fine)
-In a preheat steamer, put everything in it, and steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
-Put all the condiments on a plate, and pour the sauce on top.

Sup Kimlo

Musim dingin gini enaknya makan yang anget2 yah... Jadilah menu kimlo ini yang ada di kepalaku. hehehehe... Resep kimlo ini simple banget maksudnya ala gue banget lah. Jadinya ikutin insting aja... :D

Bahan untuk bola ikan (klo males bikin bisa beli di toko Asia):
500 gr ikan tenggiri
5 sdm tepung kanji
2 sdm tepung terigu
3 siung bawang putih
1 butir telur

Bahan bumbu halus:
3 siung bawang putih
1 ruas jari jahe
3 batang bawang prei (iris)
garam
merica

Bahan pelengkap:
Wortel
Jamur kuping
Kembang tahu
Sedap malam
Suun


Cara membuat:

Bola ikan:
Haluskan ikan dan bawang putih. Campur dengan tepung dan telur, tambahkan garam dan merica.
Buat bulatan kecil (terserah selera). Rebus di air mendidih yang sudah di tambahkan 1 sendok minyak makan. Rebus sampai bola2 mengapung. Angkat.

Kimlo:
Haluskan bwg putih dan jahe. Tumis bumbu halus, tambahkan irisan bwg prei, garam dan merica sampai harum.
Tambahkan air secukupnya. Masukkan irisan wortel, jamur kuping, kembang tahu dan sedap malam.
Setelah mendidih masukkan bola2 ikan dan suun.

Black forest

I made this cake for hubby's birthday. And it was a week before I give birth (not easy). Thats why I choose a very simple design for it. The most important part is the taste of the cake... Hubby loved it a lot :)

Smörgåstårta

This one to celebrate my husband's first father's day. Its actually just a sandwich but you build it so it looks like a cake :)
Inside is... Prawn with corn, tuna with creme fraiche, egg mayo, smoked salmon. Those tiny orange dots were made from whipped cream mix with cream cheese and caviar :)

Kanelbullar

Swedish cinnamon roll. Another snack for fika (swedish word for tea break or something like that). Its really cinnamon-ey. I like it a lot.Still can't compare mine with my husband's mormor (grandma) :P

Lemon cupcakes

I made this cupcake for a lazy weekend snacks for hubby.Had to make this 2 times. The first one turned out a bit too hard on the top (coz I forgot about it when its in the oven. Need to get timer) :D
