Strawberry Tarts

Here is the recipe of strawberry tarts, the one I promised from my previous post. This tart is easier than it looks. Even my husband can make it! (no, I'm lying :p)

To make this, you'll need:
-Ready to use puff pastry cases
-Whipped cream
-Pastry cream (which I took from here)
-Strawberry of course!

How to:
-Filled the pastry case with pastry cream (not too much, because you want some room for other things)
-Sliced the strawberry and arrange it like you want.
-Last but not least, put some whipped cream around it. And you done!

Easy? Yes! Quick? Yes! Tasty? Of course!
This tarts they taste so nice and light and not too sweet, so you feel like you always want to eat more (at least I did :p)

Enjoy!

All about strawberry

Last weekend I finally got to go to a farm to pick strawberries. I've been wanting to do this since summer last year. So of course I was over excited to go there, even though the weather was a bit cloudy.
I had to control my self not to pick everything there.. hehehe.. But still end up with almost 3 kg of strawberries! I freeze half of them.. :p

So the next day I made these for our desserts (husband helped me too)

Strawberry tarts (recipe coming soon!)

Chocolate covered strawberries

Actually I'm not that crazy about berries family, they're a bit too sour for me. But since strawberry really expensive in Indonesia, so I'm happy that I can get them very cheap here plus I can pick them by my self too ^^

Oh, FYI my husband made those chocolate strawberries. How cool is that?!
And as I promise, I'll give you the recipe of the tarts soon :)

Have a nice day

Happy Annniversary!!!

Happy anniversary to me and my husband!!! ^^
The last 2 years, many things happened. Sad, happy, exciting moments, but I'm sure many more things will happen more in the future.

I know I know this is unrelated to what I've posted before. But I just want to share this joy feeling I have right now. While my beloved ones (husband and daughter) still sleeping peacefully, I'm here writing this down to let you know what I feel right now :)

My husband is the best husband in the world, he always want to see me happy no matter what. And thing he hates the most is to see me cry. You see? How many guys like that in the world? Not many! So I'm definitely very lucky ^^

Last year we did't get to celebrate our 1st anniversary, so this year, I made a special cake for our day. Its very rich chocolate mousse covered in fondant and decorated with lots and lots of sugar flowers (I almost got sick from sugar so I ate lots and lots of chili sauce with everything I eat, make sense?!)

Well, anyway, it turned out like I wanted. So we ate it last night, for our special dinner. We ate it with mixed berries. The berries just make the taste complete. And since yesterday was mid summer here in Sweden, so I decided to do a "mid summer theme" cake. Voila! Flowery cake! Visit my flickr to see more pictures of the cake.

Hope you have a nice weekend with your family and friend.

Happy sunday!

Double Choco Treats

This treat is super duper easy to make, you can even take your little one to be involved in the making. Basically its the same thing like rice krispies treats. And I can't tell you which one better, because I love love both of them.

To make this you'll need:

200 g any chocolate cereal (I use koko krunch)
300 g any chocolate you want ( I use dark chocolate)
50 g toasted almonds
Sprinkles

How to:
-Melt chocolate in microwave or in a double pot
-Pour cereals and almonds in the chocolate
-Scoop into the size you want
-Pour sprinkles on them while they still a bit wet
-Put in the fridge for around 10 to 15 minutes
-Enjoy
See, very easy right?
And its good for afternoon or evening snacks (or whenever snack too :p)

Coconut Cupcakes

Gosh! Its been a while since my last post. Last week been a bit busy for me. My little puhi puhi (new nickname for my daughter) was sick, she was teething. Her 2 upper teeth was growing and she got fever for 4 days. So basically I couldn't do anything. Not even do grocery shopping. So me and my husband had to survive with what we have in the fridge, and buy some other stuffs in the nearest shop.
But thank God she's ok now. Because I really don't like to see her just laying down, no energy and looking very ill. So, yesterday I made some cupcakes (new recipe). Coconut cupcake with cream cheese frosting (order now! lol) :p
In the recipe it says it'll make for 20 cupcakes. So I just made half of the recipe. At the end I got 16 cupcakes!!! Oh wow!!!
Since 16 cupcakes a bit too much for my husband, I decided to give some to my friend today. She's having a name giving party for her new born baby girl.

Happy sunday everyone!
